Lee has worked in corporate America for more than 23 years as a Human Resources executive and career/leadership coach. Her coaching career has focused on providing support to individuals and teams on topics related to life changes, personal development, career growth, and communication.
After serving two tours in the U.S. Marine Corps, she obtained that coveted c-suite title, the institutional authority, and is respected within her company that she’d dreamed of. Her own personal journey has led her to recognize that her purpose in life is larger than the size of her office. It’s more about how she can help others rise to the top, both in their personal life and career.
Yes, kindness.
It's turned into a cliche that it's 'Easy' to give kindness.
It's been a challenging year, and the kindest amongst us have had a hard time too.
Maybe, kindness is easy, but I also say that it is a decision.
That is where it gets hard.

In my life, I love a routine. I get up at about the same time every day and have coffee and then maybe walk the dogs and work from home.
It makes my life better, comfortable and predictable.
We can get comfortable being uncomfortable. It's a kind of Confidence.
Confidence is something we build. We are not born with it.

Sometimes in life there comes a time when we decide, 'no more'. Really, we've had enough.
We all have our 'line' and once crossed there is no going back.
It is enough to be empathetic to others for others. And if you need to pull back somewhere in your life; do it. When/if you re-emerge draw a healthy line.

The bold bet is on yourself. It's not meant to be easy.
Nothing makes you successful instantly. Get in the game and stay in the game.
I won't know how close I might have been to a goal when I quit because the first or second route did not lead to a goal.
There are somethings that maybe I should have stuck with, mistakes I made. I didn't have the knowledge back then that I now do; to keep going success is not an easy or straight road.

I found these phrases on an old social media post from 11 years ago this morning: "Goal setting is the creative part of designing your life and the most important."

Creating our lives is more important than ever. Even when it is really difficult.

I hope we do something that makes us happy. That is if we really know what that is.... Because, I think that many times we mistake keeping ourselves busy for being happy.
I know that not everyday is going to be all sunshine and roses.
I don't expect that. Make time to do, to be, what makes you happy!

Julie Johnson is a certified health coach for women over 45.
As an obese child/adult and spent her entire life trying to lose weight. Following the mainstream diet rules; eat less-move more, eat lots of whole grains, low fat and do it every 2 hours. When that failed, she tried pills, powders, potions, calorie restriction and nothing worked; becoming very sick and very fat and the ‘sickcare’ system let her down.
She decided to figure it out on he own and now helps women with the same experiences, overcome their carb cravings/fatigue and finally get the results they want.

I want to let you I’m reviving the Go After Your Passion Podcast after quite a hiatus.
Kind of a new beginning, you could say.
You see, I’ve been Interviewing many women and men who have a found passion in their lives.
Some of them, like myself, are multi-passionate in their pursuits.
Subscribe and listen and keep an eye out on Tuesday’s because you’ll find a new episode with me talking to someone new about their passion.
Advice, think of the best piece of advice anyone's ever given you.
For me, it was My mother gave me the best 2 pieces of advice I ever got.
It was really a lesson in Valuing Myself!
Hope is not waiting for lightning to strike!
HOPE is all about being willing to go for something you want knowing that you could fail, again and again. Getting back up each time and trying again. You’ve got to embrace learning and failure.
It is Being committed to your future, that is hope.
How do we feel heard and let others feel that too? Even if you don't see eye to eye; Especially if you don't agree!
--By Listening. I mean, really listen to hear the other person.
How do we learn to listen?
By learning to give/receive genuine Empathy in our conversations.
Talking about 'Being Stopped' by fears and getting to the other side of them. Because is so much better than holding myself back.
Being told 'no' or being rejected in most ways is a bit of self-inflicted kinda pain.
But one that we kind of agree to upon the pursuit of something or someone and being an open, friendly person.
One that can get easier the more we experience it and if we deal with it effectively.
Talking about self-care today. Because during this difficult global time we are having with the Covid19 & stay at home orders we need self-care. It is an essential part of wellness, but few take the time for it.
I hope everyone is doing just a little bit during this time to set yourself up for growth and prosperity when all this is over!
I've worked from home for years and I am feeling anxious. So, I can understand how those of you who are now working home with the kids being there are probably ready to pull your hair out.
Because this will come to an end.

I've see so many people hate their birthday's when they roll around.
~Maybe it is seeing that your youth is further behind you than you'd like or that you're closer to retirement that college?
~Being child #8 of 8 I've seen much ado about birthdays.
~And Well, ...I am going to decide how I feel about myself and birthday's.
Possibility in Websters dictionary is defined as, a thing that may be chosen or done out of several possible alternatives.
I believe in possibilities. I’m talking today about what we say that negates them and how to take them back.
Fear, we all have it. It is necessary for life.
A healthy sense fear keeps us alive.
I'm not talking about that today. I'm talking about the fear of well, things that are not so rational... like failure or being embarrassed or judged. )r well, you fill in the blank.
It's gonna take a lot to Let Go of what no longer serves me.
- Focus on what matters.
- Be Grateful for the Now and Enjoy the journey.
-Trust the process and just do it.
- Draw upon the new belief in your self to know that there is something inside of you that is greater than any obstacle.
Each day is a new start!
Be who you want to become!
I’ve posted that phrase before on this blog.
There are phrases that can jolt us out of our self made bubble. “Time Waits For No One”,
I saw that phrase on a clock 25+ years ago in a gift shop in Missoula, Montana. Not much time goes by that I don’t think of it.
It jolted me back into following my dreams. Living a life I love and create.
What dreams are you creating for yourself?
I love Roy T Bennett’s quotes.
What about you?
Happy Monday!
Listen to my new podcast on the website!
People normally quit their resolutions around the 21st of Jan or about 3 weeks after starting something new.
Will this be you or will you power on through?
It is early in the year of 2020.
Keep your dreams in mind.
Never Give Up!
Sometimes the best message is simple!
Happy Sunday!
Life is about the journey and not just the destination.
Never Give Up!
Happy 2020!
This year is the beginning of a new decade and a fresh new outlook!
I love a new year.
It gives me hope no matter what my circumstances.
And we are not not just in a new year, but a new decade!
We are Creating our own futures bit by bit as each minute of every day passes, and it is a wonderful opportunity. A fresh start to create a life you love!
